Birthdays Rock!

Birthdays totally rock! Mom and Dad took the afternoon off and took me to the dog park! SO COOL. The girls there were really digging me...I'm so suave and handsome.

After hanging with my dawgs for a while, we went to Petco. I got a brand new Kong. SO COOL. My old Kong was barely in one piece and didn't really bounce anymore. It just kind of went thud. But now I've got an unpredictably bouncy Kong again.

I also got a gigantic beefy rawhide roll. SO COOL. It took me two days to eat it, but was worth every minute of intense concentration.

Still dogging Mom to recharge the camera batteries and take more pictures of supermodel me. She says I need a haircut, but the 70s look is back in, right? :)

Dog Parks, Vets and Birthdays

Hi, everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I'm still waiting for Mom to get all those vacation pictures off her camera (did I mention her batteries are dead, too?) so she can take more pictures of me. One of these days I'll hound her enough to do it. :)

In the meantime, I wanted to update everybody on what I've been doing in the past few months. First, there's a dog park in State College now. Whoa! I love it. It is so much fun!

Second, I saw Dr. Koshko (my favorite - though I wasn't crazy about his "sleeping" and "waking up" shots) a few weeks ago. He says I have a bone chip in my left front shoulder - apparently my shoulder never fused properly when I was a puppy. Even though it's the biggest one Dr. Koshko has ever seen (I love breaking records!) we think we can work around it without surgery. Total bonus!

I also have severe arthitis in the outer toes of my left front paw. It hurts when Mom clips my nails, even though I know she's being really careful. The same medicine I take for my shoulder helps with this, though - and it's like I'm a puppy again. :)

Third, I've got a birthday coming up on Friday. According to Dr. Koshko's chart, I'll be 77. I'm pretty spritely, though. Everybody in the neighborhood tells me how young I look. They love it when I'm trotting along all happy with Mom or Dad. I make 'em smile. (Yeah - I'm still a charmer.)

That's it for now. I'll write more later. Gotta give my paws a break! :)
